澳洲當局，在邦代海灘槍擊案發生不久後，便迅速將這起事件，定調為『針對猶太社群所進行的恐攻』。然而，對於許多居住在澳洲的猶太裔民眾來說，這起攻擊雖然是個悲劇，卻並不讓他們意外。澳洲猶太人執行委員會就表示，自從2023年10月7日，也就是哈瑪斯對以色列音樂節的攻擊以來，澳洲反猶事件出現的頻率，已經來到了紀錄以來的新高。
