中國國家主席習近平，14日在北京，盛大迎接泰國國王，瓦吉拉隆功到訪。瓦吉拉隆功也成為，泰中建交50年以來，首位訪中的泰國國王。而中國則有媒體回溯歷史，認為瓦吉拉隆功其實是近8百年來，第一個到訪中國的泰國國王。習近平表示，這體現泰中一家親的深厚情誼。瓦吉拉隆功則稱，泰中合作是兄弟間的合作。
