葡萄牙里斯本最知名的觀光景點，名為「榮耀升降機」的地面纜車，4日發生嚴重交通意外，造成多人死傷，令人相當震驚。回顧里斯本地面纜車的歷史，由於當地地勢陡峭又蜿蜒，因此政府在19世紀末，就開始搭建纜車與升降梯，也就此成為當地的重要交通網。
