日本軟銀集團，與美國晶片巨頭英特爾，簽署投資契約，將出資20億美元，支持英特爾。然而英特爾似乎覺得不夠，市場現在傳出英特爾計畫以折扣，吸引其他投資人入股，結果卻讓股價應聲重挫逾7%。與此同時，英特爾最新的18A製程，良率僅約10%，而14A先進製程，若缺乏外部大客戶支持，甚至可能暫停，或取消開發，顯示英特爾，正面臨前所未有的技術挑戰。
