南韓總統李在明，6月4號就職之後，因為遲遲沒有接到美國總統川普的致賀電話，所以不斷被在野黨攻擊，認為這代表美韓同盟出現動搖。結果到了6月7號，李在明就職後的第三天，川普才終於打了一通電話，並且直接邀請李在明訪問美國。兩位領導人共同的期盼就是，盡快舉行會談，磋商關稅。
