以色列軍隊正準備對加薩走廊，發起更強大的軍事行動，以色列總理納坦雅表示，以軍將大規模進入，最終目的是要控制整個加薩地區。不過因為當地人道危機，已經面臨嚴重饑荒風險，以方也表示基於實務、和外交理由，將允許部分物資進入，終結兩個多月以來的封鎖。
