美中關稅戰導致了很多製造業者須另尋其他製造基地，而東南亞和印度便成為了很多業者首選的地點。確實也有跡象表明，印度已在填補「中國製造」留下的缺口。印度也雄心壯志，朝「世界工廠」目標邁進。不過由於美中近期在日內瓦達成貿易協議，原本對供應鏈轉移到自家寄予厚望的印度，現在也擔心來自製造業的投資，可能會停滯或回流。
