美國總統川普，最近似乎和親信馬斯克出現齟齬。馬斯克在政壇行動受限，看起來轉移了較多的心力，到自己的事業上，他18日和印度總理莫迪通了電話，兩人對話中討論了，印度引入星鏈服務的可能性。儘管SpaceX已經與，印度兩大電信商簽署協議，但星鏈服務仍未取得印度政府許可，推行受阻。分析認為，莫迪與馬斯克的對話，可能有助推動星鏈在印度的核准程序，而當地民眾也十分期待星鏈的引入，能改善偏鄉地區的網路覆蓋。
