受到美國政府關稅政策影響，全球股市表現極端。在7日亞股全軍覆沒之後，8日早盤幾乎全部反彈。但歐洲7日則遇到了全面崩跌的情形。另一方面，美股如坐雲霄飛車，7日早盤因為傳出不實消息，稱川普考慮暫停關稅政策實施，導致股價飆升。但此消息遭白宮否認後又立刻回跌，道瓊工業指數，更創下美股史上最大的盤中點數波動，指數高低差達到2595點。
