美軍15日起展開對葉門叛軍胡塞組織的攻勢後，19號晚間又對葉門首都沙那還有多個城市，發動空襲。而作為反擊，胡塞組織宣稱不只一次襲擊了紅海的美國軍艦，20日更對美國在中東的盟友以色列，發射彈道飛彈，宣稱是為了聲援加薩的巴勒斯坦人。
