美國總統川普上任後，為了推動製造業回到美國，瘋狂祭出關稅令，更針對晶片業下手，點名台灣偷走美國的晶片生意。為此川普預告，將對晶片課徵25%關稅，而市場更傳聞，美國政府要施壓台積電和英特爾合資，來拯救英特爾委靡不振的代工業務。這些都為半導體產業前景，增添更多不確定性。
