台積電前董事長劉德音在退休後，將於母校加州大學柏克萊分校成立「科技競爭力與產業政策中心」，旨在鞏固美國AI領導地位，防範中國科技崛起。該中心將由劉德音與柏克萊工學院院長，同樣為台裔，同時為柏克萊分校首位女性工學院長的金智潔共同主持，集結學術與產業專家，應對全球供應鏈斷裂問題。
