近期緬甸詐騙猖獗，自王星事件後，泰國政府便承諾要全力打詐，力挽觀光客前往泰國，而泰國也正式在5日上午9點，針對泰緬邊境有詐騙活動的5個地區，進行斷電、斷網和斷油措施。由於時間點恰逢泰國總理貝東塔出訪北京，也讓外界猜測這項行動是為了要讓北京看到泰國的打詐決心。
