歐盟最近舉辦歐洲防衛局20周年論壇，在會上，歐盟執行委員會副主席「卡拉斯」表示，面對俄羅斯與日俱增的威脅，歐盟必須加強軍備，包括在投資和採購上，以及指出歐盟27國的軍事系統太過碎片化，必須做出整合，也表示將與北約合作，並將提出具體的軍火產出計畫。
