俗稱「茶壺」煉油廠的中國小型煉油廠，過去依賴便宜的伊朗原油，但隨著美國制裁加劇導致小廠失去利潤。再加上中國電動車的興起，燃油需求下降，產能過剩很可能會使這些薄利多銷的茶壺煉油廠，面臨大規模的倒閉潮。
