美國總統川普，2日在自家平台上發布貼文，表示美軍在加勒比海南部的國際海域，擊毀一艘委內瑞拉運毒船隻，擊斃11名毒犯。近來美國和委內瑞拉關係緊張，美國目前正部署8艘軍艦和1艘核力潛艦，加強對委國周邊的毒品打擊工作。而委國總統馬杜洛則強烈抗議，甚至警告美國若發動攻擊，他也將抗戰到底。
