美國總統川普要求，國內所有汽車，必須是「百分之百」的美國製造，否則就會面臨高關稅。然而，對車廠來說，繳關稅的成本，或許還更低，因為要打造一輛，全美國製的汽車，幾乎是，不可能的任務。即便可以做到 95%零件，都採用美國貨，也必須付出，比關稅，更高昂的代價。
