美國總統川普所實施的「對等關稅」於7日正式生效，為國庫帶來可觀收入；單是7月的關稅收入就接近300億美元。川普先前建議將關稅收入用來發放退稅，每名美國人可獲600美元支票，但多數共和黨議員主張應優先用於清償國債。
