Ricky Ross from Deacon Blue is set to perform live music in the new play, Black Diamonds and the Blue Brazil, at Edinburghs Royal Lyceum Theatre from May 8 to May 23, 2026. The play, adapted from Ron Fergusons book, follows Sally, played by Dawn Steele, who returns to her hometown of Cowdenbeath in Fife for her fathers funeral and becomes entangled in local football club life. The production, directed by James Brining, explores universal themes of home and connection and is part of the Lyceums diverse lineup.
