Kelburn Jazz Weekend Cancelled: Top Acts, Low Sales
The Kelburn Jazz Weekend, set for May 2nd and 3rd at Kelburn Castle, has been cancelled due to disappointing ticket sales. Despite a strong lineup featuring Corto.Alto, Gilles Peterson, and Andrea Montalto, only 380 weekend passes and 100 day tickets were sold, far below the 1100 needed to break even. Organizers project a £40,000 loss and will refund all ticket buyers. They plan to learn from this and launch a revamped event in September 2027, while keeping the positive energy alive with the Kelburn Garden Party and other events.
