I'd like to remind you that no matter what things may seem on the outside, no matter how much more people may be doing in church than you, God has buried treasure just for you. He has revelation, creative ideas, plans and unique gifts reserved just for you. But you are going to have to dig for them. Dig beneath the surface to find the buried treasure. And during this process He has been teaching us about being patient and about how everything has a process and a waiting period. During this time, I have also learned about the Chinese bamboo seed and it's mind blowing!! Talk about process and patience!! God has been revealing that it's during the waiting periods of our lives when He is doing the most work within us and in our "right now" world, waiting is uncomfortable. Many have been called, only few have been chosen. Like most people, I followed the wide gate, the wordly gate, the gate, the path that leads to nothing but destruction and heartache. And because of my stubborn ways, I continued to repeat the cycle for years, and yet still wondered why I had no peace, no lasting joy, no freedom.But one day, by the grace of God I was found. I was introduced to Jesus. I surrendered my life and suddenly things began to change. Not necessarily things around me, but inside me. I began to see the world from a different perspective; I began to see the wickedness and perversion. I began to understand why I always felt so empty chasing after temporary highs. The love of Jesus radically changed my heart and not long after I found myself on the narrow path chasing after a God that created me with purpose for a purpose. Back in 2017, I must admit I was fooled by the girl power, empower girls, independent woman movement. I was oblivious and uneducated of the hidden meaning behind it all. This is when many music artists were coming out with music related to the topic and I was in the mix. But of course, I thought for all the right reasons. Now, I realize the movement is supportive of extreme and radical feminism and it's not in line with the word of God.Of course, we as girls/woman should support and encourage each other, but we must also understand boys/men's role in our lives as well and how they play an important part. In this episode I am vulnerable and share how I was swept up in a world that I don't want to have any part of. I encourage you to ask more questions, seek out the Holy Spirit for guidance and do your own research so you don't fall victim to propaganda that is sweeping our nation today. Be Bold. Be Brave. Faith opens the door to God, Fear opens the door to the enemy. God is not fear. God is love. God is peace. How many times have you prayed for something that you really wanted, and you didn't feel that God was moving fast enough so you decided to take things into your own hands? You rushed the process; you decided you were the best person for the job, you tried to play God...what happened? Did it all crumble and fall? That's my experience! I thought that I needed to take matters into my own hands because God's timeline was matching up with mine, and then suddenly I found myself in a huge mess. Wait on the Lord. Trust in Him. Step aside and allow Him to have His perfect way. He hears you, He knows your situation and He has the best plan at the best time. Surrender and have faith. I found it so powerful, I wanted to share!If you're anything like my family, we show up to church on average 2 to 4 times per week depending on the season. Which is great! But how we show up is important. Do we show up just to show up....do we show up because we have an obligation...do we show up to check the box....or do we show up to get closer to God?Once we get there are we present, engaged, hungry for a word...do we show up expecting for God to meet us there? Or do we show up physically, but we are somewhere else mentally? The truth is, we can't fake it with God. He knows our inner thoughts, our motives, our heart...let's be real, He knows it all. Is He pleased with how we show up or is He disappointed that we don't find Him exciting enough to keep our attention? The specific versus, versus 12, where it says Jesus saw her, He called her over and healed her. It reminds me that no matter what we may be experiencing, how alone we may feel or how insecure we might be, Jesus sees us. He sees us just as we are, right where we are. Not only does He see us, but He has the power to heal us. All we have to do is come to Him. I want to encourage you that Jesus, Our Lord and Savior sees you. I didn't, and then I came across a video about the life of an eagle and instantly God used it as an illustration of our journey with Him. Throughout our lives, multiple times, we must get rid of our old selves so a new one can emerge. And often times it's a painful process. It's hard to let go of things that make us feel comfortable, things we know, people we love. The story of an eagles life is very similar to ours, there comes a point where we have a decision to make...to either let go of the past and step into a better future, or keep doing the same thing, being the same person and die in our own misery. I don't know about you, but I'd rather go through a painful process that is temporary so I can experience freedom and joy on the other side. God has promised us a better life when we walk with Him, when we choose Christ and turn our back on sin, we become new and the best versions of ourselves. Things can only be new for so long and then, well they become normal and sometimes even boring. I know, it seems like everyone around has a boyfriend and they are happy in puppy love. But the truth is, being a in relationship at a young age before you really even know yourself is dangerous. You forget that you have your whole life to date, flirt and find the right partner. Don't rush a good thing! God has a plan for you...and yes that includes boys. You are worth too much to just date anyone, you deserve the best, the very best partner for you. Throughout your teenage years, all you should be concerned about is getting to know yourself and drawing closer to God. Ask God to prepare your husband for you and allow Him to prepare you to be his wife. Trust His timing and trust that His match making skills are far greater than yours or anyone else's. God wants what you want, but His timing is not our timing, focus on yourself rather than finding a boyfriend and understand that all the emotions and thrill of something or someone new, is only new for a short period of time and then you have to deal with what's left. He does not want us worried about tomorrow, He wants to be a part of our tomorrow. He wants us to have enough faith to trust that He's got everything under control. Our worry for tomorrow only ruins our peace for today. God is sovereign. He is the creator of everything...including us, which means He has the answer for everything. There is no reason for us to be anxious about anything, instead He tells us to pray about everything. We are not alone!God is for us, not against us. I'm sick and tired of the enemy holding you down when you were created to be lifted up and carried on wings like eagles. "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. If you read through scripture, you will read that over and over again God calls on people that don't seem like the best candidates, maybe they seem unqualified, unprepared or weak. You see God isn't looking for talented, pretty, strong, abled people....He's looking for people to say yes. Each one of us were created on purpose for a purpose. We are all formed by the hand of God. God knew us all of us intimately before he formed us in the womb. He chose us in Christ. We each have unique gifts, skills and talents that are meant to be used for the kingdom. We must understand that if God called us to it, then He will equip us to do it. The enemies biggest fear is that you will actually believe the word of God and the things He’s promised to you and fulfill your purpose. Seek God and ask Him, why am I here. Imagine being one of His disciples, they were probably confused after witnessing miracle after miracle...thinking how can anything/anyone be better than you Jesus. But The Holy Spirit reminded me that as beautiful as it was that the disciples got to know Jesus and walk around with Jesus, His deity was limited to His humanity. Meaning He could only perform miracles to wherever He was physically located. So, when Jesus rose from the dead and went to be with His father in heaven, He sent us The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the 3rd part of the trinity. He is our access to Jesus here on earth. We have full access to The Holy Spirit at anytime, anywhere. It's so beautiful to think that we can all be talking to Him at the same time all across the world. We can speak to Him and He can speak to us. He will meet us wherever we are. It's so powerful! We are truly never alone. The Holy Spirit is our helper, our protector, our counselor, our advocate,...He brings peace, direction, comfort and correction. Not many people like being held accountable for what they've done. Especially in our society now, people are brain washed into believing that anything goes, that they can do and be whatever and whoever they want because it's their body and their life. But the simple truth is that, we have a level of accountability to ourselves, each other and mostly to God. And nothing is hidden from God. Accountability is an important character trait. Holding yourself accountable to your words, actions and mistakes is an important part of maturing and growing into a better person. It's a process and it includes humility, forgiveness and grace. Do you hold yourself accountable to things you've done wrong, or to people you've hurt? What about to the commitments you've made? How well do you take constructive feedback from others? Do you value the people around you? All good questions to ask yourself all throughout your life. We must learn to hold ourselves accountable and to own up to our mistakes so we can learn and grow.
