Speaking of cocktails, today Matthew is drinking an Aviation while Ben is drinking a Singapore Sling. Recipes below.
Aviation
- 2 ounces London Dry gin
- ¾ ounce lemon juice
- ½ ounce Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
- ¼ ounce Crème de Violette
- Garnish: Brandied cherry
- Shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice until well-chilled. Double strain into a cocktail glass and add garnish.
Singapore Sling
- 1 1/2 oz Gin
- 1/4 oz Benedictine
- 1/4 oz Cherry Heering liqueur
- 1/4 oz Grand Marnier (Ben used curacao)
- 1 oz Pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz Lime juice
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- Club soda, to top
- An orange slice and 3 cherries for garnish
- Combine all ingredients except the club soda in a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into a highball glass, fill the glass with ice, and top with club soda. Make a sail with your orange slice and one cherry and drop the remaining cherries in the glass.
