Even if the majority of mobility becomes autonomous to give us back the time lost in traffic, there will always be a segment of enthusiasts seeking the pure experience of driving. "Off-the-shelf" technology is already mature enough to allow for the democratization of performance without the need to reinvent the electric motor or the inverter. The problem with electric vehicle adoption isn't range or charging speed, but the public's distorted perception of the actual long-term operating costs. Ultimately, true automotive innovation means offering people lighter, simpler, and more accessible cars, focusing on raw efficiency and the sheer pleasure of driving.
