Trey Sellers of Unchained and Andy Flattery discuss how bitcoin relates to the Financial Independence Retire Early (FIRE) movement.
Bitcoin allows individuals to hold their wealth in money itself rather than subpar assets like real estate, stocks, bonds, or gold. Sellers explains that the demonetization of assets occurs when traditional money loses value over time and individuals have to choose where to store their value. He argues that the monetary premium for these other assets, such as real estate and index funds, can be replaced with bitcoin as the global standard for wealth preservation.
