There are times when Jesus' life and teachings seem to be upside down. It doesn’t seem right. It feels backwards to everything you have been taught. The teachings of Jesus can seem countercultural; even counterintuitive. Jesus said a number of upside down things; things like, “In order to receive, give. If you want to be first, go last. If you want to be strong, then become weak. If you want to find life, you have to die.” It doesn’t make sense. It’s upside down.
