Show Notes
It's been a phenomenal athletic year filled with incredible moments on and off the field, from walk-offs and Hail Mary's to inspiring stories like those of Randy Russell and Lauren Evans that we have told on this very podcast. But with baseball's exit from Omaha, we officially closed the book on the 2017-2018 athletic year, and now it's time to reflect. As we found out last summer, the best way to do that is by sitting down with athletic director Scott Stricklin to review it all in our season finale.
Now wrapping up his first complete season at the helm, host Adam Schick spoke to Scott about his experience in Omaha and the uniqueness of the CWS (1:47), the remarkable success of the overall program (5:35), major coaching developments from this year (7:04), the latest updates on the various facility projects (15:34), Dan Mullen's first 7 months on the job (19:27), the addition of Jay Jacobs to his executive staff (21:02), his favorite moments from this season (23:14), how he filters through his Twitter mentions (27:36), his views on the expansion of replay in college athletics (29:27) and his summer plans (32:09).
