Gamewank: The Next Generation
Jim Trinca, Richie Morgan · Jim Trinca
Show overview
Gamewank: The Next Generation has been publishing since 2021, and across the 2 years since has built a catalogue of 10 episodes. That works out to roughly 15 hours of audio in total. Releases follow a roughly quarterly cadence.
Episodes typically run an hour to ninety minutes — most land between 1h 12m and 1h 22m — and the run-time is fairly consistent across the catalogue. The publisher flags most episodes as explicit, so expect adult themes or strong language throughout. It is catalogued as a EN-language Leisure show.
The catalogue appears to be on hiatus or wound down — the most recent episode landed 3.4 years ago, with no new episodes in over a year. The busiest year was 2021, with 6 episodes published. Published by Jim Trinca.
From the publisher
It's back, and it's not even pretending to be about games. Returning for a new generation of consoles, Jim and Ric are a bit older and a bit more knackered, but they still love video games, Star Trek, and being a pair of daft auld rides.

S1 Ep 7Episode Seven or 51: Dransfield
EGamewank is back! Join Jim and guest host Ian for a big Chat Sandwich about Ghostwire Tokyo, PlayStation Plus Extra, Halo The TV Show, Elder Scrolls The TV Show and Judge Dredd The TV Show, as well as the usual crap. Jim and Richie will return later, and Ian will too because he's basically a regular now. Fine. Ian Dransfield has had the sort of career in games media that's long and varied enough for him to be referred to as a 'veteran' despite having never been in a war. He's written for such illustrious publications as the complaints form for his local council, someone else's MySpace page, and LiveJournal. He's also done loads of other things that are frankly none of your business.

S1 Ep 6Episode Six or 50: Dexmas
ERic & Jim get together for a new episode and decide ten minutes in that it's the Christmas one. Jim gets excited about playing Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One over the winter break, Richie fondly remembers getting The Dizzy Collection on ZX Spectrum one christmas, and Danny Eccles performs a brand new Christmas Cover.

ERichie is joined by Owen, Sean, and Gav to lust after Vienetta and/or Irish Ice Creams, fighting bots in Fortnite, the Eurogamer Expo (mind that?), their earliest memories of, uh, wanking, and of course the seminal PS2 title Tak and the Power of Joo Joo. Jim's no in it because he had an argument with Richie about rice cookers. He's also moving house, but he'll be back next month. Thanks to Owen of The Infinite Review, Gav of Geshcast and Sean of Paperbag Animator for making sure Richie didn't have to do this on his own (god, can you imagine?)
