Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald started his radio career at MMM Adelaide as a boundary rider for MMM Football. Vaughan Smith is the host of the Fletch, Vaughan & Megan breakfast show on ZM in New Zealand. Vaughan began his career in the early 2000s at the Generator in Hamilton as music director/afternoon announcer. He won a radio contest on The Edge where the prize was to co-host the show with Carl Fletcher. They have now worked together for fourteen years. Jo Stanley is a game changer. She is the only female presenter in Melbourne to host number 1 breakfast shows on separate FM stations. Jo began her radio career on Fox in Melbourne with Jodie J Hill in 2001. In 2004 she moved into breakfast with Matt Tilley, beginning a 10 year partnership which saw the show consistently ranked in Melbourne. Jo then moved to Gold FM in 2015, joining comedian Anthony 'Lehmo' Lehman on breakfast. Jo and Lehmo enjoyed their first number 1 resultin survey 7 in 2017. Andrew Denton is a Game Changer. Andrew’s career started in the 1980s as a writer on the Doug Mulray show on 2MMM, where he quickly became an key part of the show’s on-air and off-air creative process. Andrew returned to 2MMM in 1997 to host his own #1 rating breakfast show with good friends Amanda Keller and Dave Gibson. The show became well known for many of it’s world-first radio concepts, including the ‘House from the Hell’. Kyle Sandilands is a game changer. You know the story, but here are the headlines. Kyle and Jackie O started on 2DayFM breakfast in 2004 when the show was ranked 9th overall (and last FM)  at a 3.5 share. In 2005 they were the #1 FM breakfast show in Sydney and ended up winning 60 surveys in a row. Fast forward to 2014, when they took their audience to KIIS, where they are a 12 share. Kyle and Jackie have won several ACRAs for best metro show in Australia. Dean Buchanan is a game changer. Born in New Zealand, Dean spent the early part of his career both on and off the air in New Zealand. He then joining international research and consultancy group BP&R in Sydney Australia in the late the 1990s. After two years in the consultancy business, he became Head of Programming at DMG, where he launched the Nova Network in 2000. Nova went to #1 in Melbourne in it’s first survey, and within two years dominated the 18-39 landscape in all metro markets. Dean hired on-air talent like Merrick and Rosso, Hughsey and Kate, Fitzy and Wippa, Tim Blackwell, as well as Ash Bradnam and Nathan and Nat. Many of these stars are still with the group today. Dean is now Group Director - Entertainment NZME, where he overseas the companies radio, digital and print entertainment content strategy. From the '15 Days of Fame' radio competition to Fifi & Jules to the forefront of influencer marketing, Jules Lund is a game changer.  His television career began in 2004 on Getaway, and he appeared in almost 400 episodes during his time with Channel Nine. He moved to radio in 2007. Along with Ryan Shelton and Tamsyn Lewis, he presented Summer Fling, a breakfast show on the Austereo Today Network. From 2011, he co-hosted Fifi & Jules during Drive with Fifi Box on the Today Network (leaving Friday's show open for Hamish Blake and Andy Lee to get their start in radio). In 2014 her co-hosted (with Merrick Watts and Sophie Monk) Jules, Merrick & and Sophie during breakfast on 2Day FM, until the show was replaced by The Dan & Maz Show (with Maz Compton). Jules then joined Emma Freedman to host The Scoopla Show, an entertainment news segment on the HIT Network between 2015 and 2016. Jules left radio in September 2015 to launch TRIBE, a marketplace for social influencers and the brands that need them. Maz Compton began her radio career in 2001 producing Merrick & Rosso (Merrick Watts and Tim Ross). Three years later she landed her dream job with MTV, where she stayed for five years anchoring red carpet broadcasts and hosting its flagship show, Total Request Live. She won the ASTRA for most popular female presenter in 2008. She then moved back to Nova 969, where she co-hosted Launchpad with James Kerley. She then hosted The Dan & Maz Show with Dan Debuf, which ran in breakfast (on Nova Adelaide in 2011-2012), drive (Fox Melbourne 2013-2014), breakfast (on 2Dayfm Sydney) and national drive (on SCA 2015). In 2016, Max launched Be, her own digital interview series on Yahoo 7. In 2017 she published her first book, UnEdited, and launched a world first breakfast show concept, Alt-breakfast, which streams live from Facebook. Broadway Bill Lee started in radio in 1972. He programmed WTIC-FM in Hartford (Connecticut), and then went on to jock at KFRC in San Francisco (California), WLOL in Minneapolis (Minnesota), and KPKE in Denver (Colorado), before landing in afternoon drive in New York City. He has hosted afternoons on WCBS-FM since 2007.  Broadway Bill Lee has won numerous radio awards, including the Billboard Radio Magazine award for Radio Personality of the Year, as well as Personality of the Year from Radio & Records Magazine and two New York Metro Air Awards for Best Afternoon Drive Show. Ben Harvey started his radio career as a volunteer at Fresh 92.7 in 2012, and Liam Stapleton soon joined him. They became co-hosts, and now co-host Triple J Breakfast nationally (6am-9am). Dave Matthews is an energetic Australian radio presenter with a passion in entertainment. He is currently working as the content anchor and executive producer of Hot 91.1's The Hot Breakfast: Dave, Sam & Ash (6am-9am) on Hot 91.1 on the Sunshine Coast. From a young age it was clear that Ash London had but one ability in life – the gift of the gab. Lucky for her, that gift has landed her on television screens and radio dials for the better part of her 20’s.  After forcing herself to attend university for three years, where she earned a bachelor of communications in media, Ash set off on a London adventure that cemented a lifelong love of live music. After revelling in Ray La Montagne at Royal Albert Hall to watching a then unknown Ellie Goulding at a Camden pub, she decided that she would actually die if she did not secure a career in the entertainment industry. A few short years later it all paid off when she beat 1200 other contestants and landed her first TV gig, hosting Saturday morning music show The Loop, a role she enjoyed for three successful years.  2014 saw her branch out into radio, co-hosting Australia’s longest running radio chart show Take 40 with Angus O’Loughlin, and then launching Shazam Top 20 around the country every night across the Today network in 2015.  Continuing both shows in 2016, it was also the year that saw her serve on Australia’s first ever Eurovision Juror Panel, and also host Junior Eurovision on SBS. Ash has also made regular appearances on Ten’s The Project, and Dirty Laundry Live for ABC. She also appears as an entertainment host worldwide on Redbull TV. In 2017 Ash returned to radio, launching her national nights show across the HIT network - Ash London Live - celebrating her music passion weeknights around the country.  Her work has seen her interview everyone from One Direction to Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande to Adele, Bruno Mars to Slash. Jamie Dunn was the undisputed king of Brisbane radio, when the B105 Morning Crew was at the heart of the station's incredible ratings success during the 1990s and early 2000s. Jamie was also the voice and personality of children's character Agro. Wendy Harmer is one of the pioneers of FM radio for female presenters in Australia. She was the first female host to take a lead role in a key metro market breakfast show, and her ratings dominance in Sydney for more than a decade is yet to be matched by any female host on FM. She began her radio career in the mid 1980s on Saturday nights at 3AK, and then moved to drive ABC Radio National. She was on the board of the first ever Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 1987, and even performed a stand up routine Harmer and Stubbs at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival with fellow game changers Richard Stubbs.  From 1993 until 2004 she hosted The Morning Crew on 2Day FM with Paul Holmes and Jamie Dunn (who was later replaced by Peter Moon). She has also made her mark as a children's writer (for the Pearlie, which has been turned into an animated show), playwright and dramatist. She returned to radio in 2016 as host of ABC Sydney's 702 Mornings with Wendy Harmer. Tony Martin joined the D-Gen - a truly revolutionary FM breakfast show -  in 1987,  and continued with them until 1992.  In 1995 he and Mick Molloy re-imagined the way we would listen to drive radio. They created Martin/Molloy, which became Australia’s first national drive show and dominated the FM landscape for three years. Richard Stubbs literally changed the game for breakfast radio in the mid 80s as the first stand-up comedian to cross-over to breakfast radio. He started at 3XY on the Morning Zoo in 1985 before moving to MMM in the late 80s. In 1992 The Richard Stubbs Breakfast Show replaced the D-Generation, and went on to become one of the most successful shows of the time. Stubbsy then forged a new path for FM hosts by crossing over to the ABC in 2004. After 11 years of success in the afternoon slot, he made the decision to hang up the headphones at the end of 2015. Richard’s observational humour, natural intelligence and listening skills are some of the reasons why his career has been successful. 'Radio is hideously personal... Fifi Box got her first break on the national stage as co-host of MMM's Shebang with Marty Sheargold and Byron Cooke. The show reached #1 around Australia in 2004. After getting his start as a writer on the Grubby and Dee Dee breakfast show at Fox in the early 90s, Matt Tilley went on to have one of the longest and most successful stints with a metro FM radio station.  Alongside Tracy Bartram, he took Fox to #1 in the late 90s, and 13 years later he still dominated the Melbourne FM landscape with Jo Stanley. Mick Molloy led The D-Gen, Martin & Molloy and Tough Love, and became one-third of The Hot breakfast with Eddie McGuire, Mick Molloy and Luke Darcy on Triple M in Melbourne. Sam Cavanagh is one of Australia’s foremost experts in radio content and creative team management. He ws the Executive Producer of the Hamish & Andy Drive show, and National Executive Show Producer at Southern Cross Austereo. In 2017 he became Executive Producer for Kennedy & Molloy, a new national drive show on Triple M with Jane Kennedy and Mick Molloy. At the Australian Commercial Radio Awards, Sam was awarded the Best Show Producer a-record 4 years in a row, 2007-2010.
