At a recent Sligo-Drumcliffe Municipal District meeting, Councillor Edel McSharry expressed concerns over delays in releasing funds for Grange Post Primary Schools canteen upgrades. Despite the projects approval, the Department of Education hasnt provided the cash. McSharry tabled a motion to contact the department and find out the cause of the delay. Other councillors supported her, highlighting the schools overcrowding and the urgent need for these fixes. The council is now set to follow up formally to resolve the funding issue and support the schools daily needs.
