“There is nothing permanent except change”.

Heroclitus’ dictum is over 2,500 years old, and it’s more relevant than ever.

Moore’s law, the doubling of computing power every 18 months, is fifty years old. In 1971, Intel’s 4004 contained just 2,300 transistors. Today’s microprocessors contain over 20 billion.

The meteoric rise in computing power is rendering businesses big on process, five year plans and consensus seeking meetings unable to adapt fast enough.
