Kess Entertainment has been producing, amongst their many gaming, toy, and puzzle endeavors, board game adaptations of video game and anime series since 2022. Working with companies such as Capcom, Toei, Sega, and Square Enix requires license negotiation and constant communication to keep the games both fun and faithful to the source material.
Matt & Gen are joined by Alex Kessler, founder of Kess Entertainment, to discuss threading the needle of making a great board game experience, managing permissions and usage with the rights holder, and keeping the final product to an affordable price point
