As the second week of the war with Iran draws to a close, any suggestion that Australia’s involvement would be limited to in-principle support has evaporated. Last Friday, the Guardian and other media outlets reported that three Australians were on the US submarine that torpedoed an Iranian warship, killing 87 people.
