More than 1000 Qantas engineers will walk off the job today with a four-hour stoppage at Melbourne Airport as part of a nationwide strike. In NSW, Gareth Ward has denied reports he was drunk when he showed up to Parliament House. At least 51 people are dead and more than 220 have been injured in Israeli strikes on Lebanon on Wednesday. Katy Perry is reportedly set to pocket a tidy sum for her AFL grand final performance at the MCG on Saturday. Swans captain Callum Mills has been ruled out of Saturday’s AFL Grand Final.
