This movie has a lot to live up to, being a remake of one of Disney’s most iconic movies of all time. The original Snow White made history as the first feature-length animated movie and Disney’s first-ever princess movie. With such a legacy, the live-action remake has a high bar to meet.
Rachel Zegler stars as Snow White, alongside Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen and Andrew Burnap as Jonathan (Snow White’s love interest). The movie draws inspiration from the original, bringing back beloved songs like “Heigh Ho” and “Whistle While You Work” while also following a similar storyline that keeps the heart of the original intact.
However, the live-action remake has not been without controversy. This controversy has sparked divisions within Disney and Zegler, resulting in negative press coverage and even restrictions on press attendance at the premiere.
