Hello friends and welcome to friends of Disney where we are friends who talk about Disney. Today’s episode we are talking about the Disney channel original movie Starstruck.
Starstruck, a Disney Channel original movie released in 2010, follows Jessica Olson (Danielle Campbell), a Michigan resident visiting Los Angeles to see her grandmother with her sister Sara. However, her trip takes an unexpected turn when she becomes entangled in the whirlwind life of pop star Christopher Wilde (Sterling Knight). Despite their growing connection, a major conflict arises when Christopher abruptly distances himself from Jessica, ostensibly to shield her from the perils of Hollywood.
Starstruck has garnered significant recognition as an iconic Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM). It has even been featured in Ms. Mojo’s list of the “Top 10 Best Teen Movie Musicals.” The movie’s soundtrack boasts several hit songs, including the title track “Starstruck” and “Something About the Sunshine.”
