We had a blast reminiscing about our childhood memories, like being a bit spooked by Bette Midler’s eccentric witch performance or secretly crushing on Sarah Jessica Parker’s character. We dove into Lucky Number Slevin (2006), and right from the start, you could tell Andy was relieved to be talking about a movie that actually worked. He even called it one of the best-written movies we’ve watched in a long time. The clever dialogue, slick direction, and that wild Kansas City Shuffle twist had us all hooked.Michael and Brennan both agreed that Lucky Number Slevin had a lot going for it. Brennan loved the sharp, punchy lines, especially the running gag about Slevin's broken nose ("I was using it to break someone's fist"). Michael pointed out how the movie does a brilliant job of misdirection, constantly making you look left while it’s doing something sneaky on the right.
