Navy pilot Royce Williams, aged just 16 during WWII, embarked on a 35-year naval aviation career, culminating in a legendary 35-minute dogfight against 7 MiGs in 1952. Flying solo due to weather and mechanical issues, he shot down 4 enemy planes, despite his aircraft being riddled with 260 bullet holes. The battle, kept secret for decades, was finally declassified in 2002, leading to Williams posthumous upgrade from Silver Star to Navy Cross and Medal of Honor in 2023.
