Astronaut Victor Glover, a Cal Poly engineering grad, is embarking on NASAs Artemis Two mission, the first crewed trip to the moon since 1972. Hell join NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Jeremy Hansen, for this historic ride on the Orion spacecraft. Glover, who grew up in Pomona and earned his wings in 2001, will test Orions life support with humans aboard, paving the way for future Mars missions. This ten-day loop will make Glover the first person of color to loop the moon so close, while Koch will be the first woman. Liftoff is set for 3:24 PM Pacific Wednesday from Kennedy Space Center.
