Twenty-one high school seniors from Clovis Unified schools are concluding their tenure on the citys inaugural Youth Commission. This program, launched in fall 2023, unites students with city council members and staff to learn about local government and community service. The commission, valuing diversity and local impact, is currently collaborating with Clovis police on an e-bike safety project. Mayor Vong Mouanoutoua commends the commission for challenging stereotypes and fostering future leaders.
