Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement is what we’ll continue learning about on Foundations today. It’s the time of the year ? the only day of the year ? when the Jewish High Priest was permitted to enter the Holy of Holies in the Temple to make atonement for the sins of the people. It was also a time of self-denial and we’ll learn about some of the requirements of the people during this sacred time.
