Allen County Fort Wayne Allocates $1.5M for North River District Development

The Allen County Fort Wayne Capital Improvement Board has approved up to $1.5M for the North River Districts development. This includes $182,500 for master planning services from PB Development in Kansas City. The Redevelopment Commission will review and vote on the full agreement on March 9th, allowing PB Development to start work on the master plan for the 29-acre site. The plan includes public infrastructure, housing, commercial spaces, recreation areas, green spaces, and public facilities, with a focus on the North River Fieldhouse, a 160,000 sq. ft. spot for youth and adaptive sports tourism. This fieldhouse could bring in 54,000 hotel nights and $733,000 in annual tax revenue.
