Show Notes
Six Premier League clubs must sell players before June ends to comply
with the divison's financial rules, according to a report. June 30 is
the final day of the financial year for the Premier League, with clubs
having to submit their accounts. If a club has lost more than
£105million over three years or less if they spent some time outside the
top flight - they are in breach of the Profit & Sustainability
Rules.
Chelsea, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Everton, Nottingham Forest, and
Leicester will all be under pressure to sell a player or two, as per Sky
Sports News. The broadcaster claims that June 30 has in effect become a
'mini transfer deadline day' which cause chaos for Euro 2024.
Manchester City are taking legal action against the Premier League over
its financial rules. The basis of the claim centres around associated
party transaction (APT) regulations, which ensure that commercial deals
between a club and other corporate bodies linked to club owners are done
at a fair market price. Man City want to be able to bring in more
revenue by any means, but at the cost of smaller clubs who dont have
wealthy owners, so are City being hypocrites?
Let us know what you think about all todays news and if you support Man
City's claim that the current rules are unfair. Plus don't forget to
