Nottingham Forest are set to complete the signing of Portuguese defender David Cormo from FC Porto! The deal is reportedly worth €11 million, with an additional €4 million in potential add-ons.
David Cormo is a name that’s been buzzing around in European football circles for a number of years, and now he’s a Red! Known for his solid defensive abilities, impressive ball-playing skills, and aerial dominance, Cormo had previously been linked to likes of Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Plan for Cormo: While we’re all eager to see Cormo in a Forest shirt, it seems like he will be heading straight out on loan to our sister club, Olympiakos, for the upcoming season. This move is all about giving him regular first-team action, ensuring he’s ready to make a huge impact when he returns to the City Ground, and potentially a replacement for Murillo should he leave in the next 12 months.
We also have a round-up of the 1-0 victory at The St. Mary's stadium against Premier League new boys Southampton. A goal from Morgan Gibbs-White was enough to seal all three points and push Forest up to 5th in the table after the first two matches. What was your biggest positive from the Southampton victory?
We also have a kind of an update about Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, so don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to Forest Fan TV.
