James Cridland is a radio futurologist - but don’t let the word radio fool you, he’s passionate about all forms of audio content. He’s the managing editor of the daily podcast newsletter Podnews.net and host of the podcast of the same name. If you’re not familiar with Podnews you should be. It is a daily injection of global podcast news that’ll keep you informed. Frankly, it’s the go-to source to keep you up-to-date with the latest trends and events happing in the industry.

James has worked in radio since 1989, working for giants like or BBC and Virgin Radio where he was responsible for launching the world's first streaming radio smartphone app. He was responsible for helping design the station's podcast strategy during the early days of podcasting.


James is a part of numerous academies and associations and has served as a judge for many industry awards programs.

He is a true pioneer in the podcasting space and probably the most well-informed person in the industry.
