Back in the 1970s, prosecutors started to go after what they deemed to be “obscene.” They went absolutely crazy when the movie Deep Throat was released. So they decided to arrest the projectionist, Richard Dexter, to send a message. Gerry Goldstein was a young firebrand lawyer who took on the case to trial and even all the way to the Supreme Court.
