One of Footy Prime's original and founding voices, Danny Dichio, makes his first appearance on Footy Prime The Podcast since trading the touchlines of Toronto FC's academy for an assistant coaching role at USL side Sacramento Republic FC. With The Quails upsetting Sporting KC in their Lamar Hunt US Open Cup semi-final Wednesday night, becoming the first non-MLS club since 2008 to reach the Final, James Sharman, Craig Forrest, Brendan Dunlop and Jimmy Brennan caught up with their old teammate. Diche talks about the memorable Cup run that has seen Sacramento knock off three MLS clubs, the San Jose Earthquakes, LA Galaxy and SKC, to reach the Final, adjusting to life in the USL and living in Northern California, and of course his thoughts on the upcoming English Premier League season. Spoiler alert: despite getting it completely wrong about Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea at the start of last season, Diche is bullish on the Blues again.
