God alone has the power to call things into existence, including His Church. In Romans 1:6-7, Paul shows how God planted a thriving church in Rome—without Paul or Peter—by calling people to belong to Jesus. Despite being surrounded by a pagan world, these believers lived as a new humanity, loved by God, called to holiness, and strengthened by His grace. Their story is our story. God is still building His Church today.
