Esther 9 & 10 | Holy War
The conclusion of the Book of Esther reveals a dramatic reversal where the Jews gain mastery over their enemies, reflecting the biblical pattern of holy war. This violent turn is balanced by the establishment of Purim, a festival celebrating God's deliverance. In the New Testament, holy war is redefined through Jesus' sacrificial love, and Christians are called to spiritual battles. The story of Esther challenges us to use our influence for good and to regularly celebrate God's work in our lives.
