In today’s First Reading, we hear how Solomon’s wives turned his heart to strange gods in his old age. It’s one of the saddest verse in Scripture – but it reminds us that even a righteous and blessed man like Solomon can fall into sin. We are all capable of the same mistakes – but we also all have the capacity to be saints. Which will you choose?
Sr. Ann reflects on today’s readings:
1 Kings 11:4-13
Psalm 106:3-4, 35-36, 37 and 40
Mark 7:24-30
