“Do not be afraid!” This simple phrase was a theme of John Paul the Great’s papacy. It was how the Angel Gabriel greeted Mary, and how angels brought the news of Jesus’ birth to the shepherds. As we prepare for a new year, do not be afraid to say “yes” to more of God’s love.
